When I joined CyberGRX, deploys were quarterly, manual, and brittle. When I left, teams deployed whenever they wanted. I have repeated that arc at four companies since 2015, and the mechanics barely change. Shorten the path from merge to production, automate the scary parts, and show everyone the metrics.

I redesigned the build and deploy process around a blue/green operator I wrote with the CoreOS operator SDK, presented it, and had every engineer shipping with it inside 3 days.
A GitOps CI/CD pipeline built during my first 6 months, alongside the migration from a legacy PaaS to AWS EKS. Cheaper infrastructure and dramatically faster shipping arrived in the same quarter.
At Food Service Warehouse in 2015 I brought Docker and Kubernetes to a C#-on-vSphere shop. The Node.js teams on my infrastructure out-shipped everyone else in the building.
At Inception Health I automated TestFlight and App Store releases through git, so mobile teams shipped their own builds without waiting on anyone. The deploy arc applies to app stores as much as clusters.
My first 90 days on your pipeline
I measure how long merge-to-production actually takes today, including the waiting and the fear, so the improvement has a baseline.
The steps people double-check by hand are the steps that belong in the pipeline. GitOps makes the pipeline itself reviewable.
Deploy frequency and lead time on a dashboard everyone sees, so faster shipping is a fact rather than a feeling.
